Kicking off today is a general topic on where to start your first step into your strength gaining adventure. When you first start in trying to gain more strength you sometimes don't know where to begin with that task. This can become troublesome especially with the information buffet with have at our finger tips. However, there are essentials that will always be present and we will be going over these today based first on the goals.
When In Doubt, Goal It Out
Before starting any change we should set a goal or short series of goals. You may be asking "Why should I set some goals? I just want to go to the gym and lift weights!" Well, good question action pack mac. Why would I set goals when I can go and lift weights whenever I want? Simple answer is to give yourself something to work towards and also track your progress (which we'll discuss later in another blog post). A baseline set of goals not only helps you create something more tangible it also can boost your confidence in your lifts over time. These two combined give you some of the first tools you'll need for your adventure.
Build Your Caravan
Goals now set the time has come to build the caravan we'll be using for our journey. The caravan will grow slowly over time as you begin this journey, however we're starting off bare bones to build a rock solid foundation. The foundation includes a set program, good exercise forms, nutrition, goofing around and more! So, our next destination will be on how we'll obtain these goals and some common mistakes most fitness goers go wrong.
